Terms and Conditions

1. Services

Resume Resort provides digital resume writing and related career services. Service availability depends on scheduling and resource constraints.

 

2. Payment

  • Full payment is required before service delivery unless the client is enrolled in an approved installment plan.

  • Prices are listed in CAD (Canadian Dollars) and exclude applicable taxes.

  • Payments may be made through Stripe, PayPal, or, for Canadian clients, e-transfer on a case-by-case basis.

  • Digital products and services are non-refundable except where explicitly covered under the 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee (see Section 13).

 

Installment Payment Plans

For certain packages (including Package 2 and Package 3), Resume Resort offers manual installment payment options:

 

  • Clients must complete all payments in full before any services or deliverables are provided.

  • No drafts, previews, or partial work will be released until the full package price has been paid.

  • Installment payments are non-refundable. If all installments are not completed, no services will be delivered and no refunds will be issued.

  • Installments are manual payments, not subscriptions. Clients are responsible for making manual payments.

  • Services begin only after the final installment payment has cleared and the intake form has been submitted.

  • Promotional codes, discounts, or coupons may not be applied to installment plans.

  • Applicable taxes are calculated and applied to each installment.

 

3. Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

 

  • Provide complete and accurate information.

  • Respond promptly to service-related communications.

  • Use the final resume for legitimate job-seeking purposes only.

  • Refrain from sharing, reproducing, or reselling our digital products or templates.

  • Acknowledge that all services, support, and communication are conducted digitally only (email, direct platform messaging, and written channels). Phone calls and in-person meetings are not offered.

 

Failure to meet these responsibilities may delay or void service delivery without refund.

 

4. Intellectual Property

  • Resume Resort retains all rights to proprietary templates, tools, and processes.

  • Ownership of the final resume content is transferred to the client upon delivery.

  • All website content, including brand assets, is protected by copyright law.

 

5. Limitation of Liability

  • Resume Resort does not guarantee job placement.

  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

  • We are not responsible for errors or inaccuracies resulting from client-provided information.

 

6. Service Delivery

  • Services are delivered digitally only after the full payment amount for the selected package has been received.

  • For installment plans, no work begins and no deliverables are provided until the final installment is complete and the intake form is submitted.

  • Access to deliverables is provided via email.

  • Resume Resort reserves the right to decline service at its sole discretion.

 

Turnaround Time and Intake Form Delivery

  • Turnaround time begins only after we have received both your completed intake form and your most recent resume or supporting documentation.

  • Upon checkout, Wix automatically sends a digital confirmation email containing your intake form link. This message is delivered instantly but may appear in your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder. Clients are responsible for checking these folders and completing the intake form promptly to avoid delays in service delivery.

 

7. Modifications

  • These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time.

  • Notice of changes will be posted on our website.

  • Continued use of services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

 

8. Unlimited Online Support

“Unlimited support” means you may email us at any time if you have trouble opening, viewing, or using the files we deliver, or if you have questions about how to apply them in your job search.
Support does not include ongoing edits or resume rewrites after you have approved the final draft. For updates or changes beyond final delivery, a new service must be purchased.
Clients are responsible for initiating contact if support is needed.

 

9. Lifetime Storage

We make reasonable efforts to maintain a copy of your final resume package on secure third-party hosting (currently Bluehost) as a courtesy. If you lose your documents, you may email us and, if available, we will resend the original files at no charge.

 

We do not guarantee indefinite file storage or recovery in the event of data loss, hosting failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. Clients are responsible for saving and backing up their final files upon delivery.

 

10. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

  • By purchasing our services, you agree to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a chargeback through Stripe, PayPal, or your bank.

  • Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes may result in account suspension and collection action.

  • All payments are subject to the policies of the selected payment provider.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Saskatchewan.

 

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through mediation or binding arbitration, unless prohibited by law.
This includes disputes relating to installment payment obligations and refund eligibility.

 

13. 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Resume Resort offers a 90-day money-back guarantee under the conditions outlined in our FAQ and this section.

The 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee became effective October 15, 2025.

This guarantee applies only to Package 2 and Package 3. Package 1 (ATS formatting only) is excluded, as it does not involve resume research, rewriting, or strategic content development.

 

To qualify, clients must:

 

  • Submit applications to at least 25 relevant job postings within 90 days of final resume delivery.

  • Request the refund in writing within 6 months of delivery.

  • Provide a basic list of applications as proof of genuine effort.

  • Stop using the resume once the refund is issued.

 

Applications must be to positions where the client reasonably meets the job requirements.
This guarantee applies to one resume package per client and covers the resume writing service only.

 

Proof of applications must include the job title, employer or platform, and the date each application was submitted.

Clients must also provide the exact version of the resume and cover letter used for their applications. Edited or modified documents are not eligible under this guarantee. This includes situations where a client requests revisions that materially change our recommended wording, structure, or strategy, and elects to proceed against our professional guidance. In such cases, the client assumes responsibility for the resume’s performance and the guarantee is void.

 

Upon receiving a refund, the client must immediately stop using and distributing all resume materials created by Resume Resort [RigBoyz]. This includes removing the resume, cover letter, and reference pages from all job search platforms, job boards, professional networking sites, and any company-specific application tracking systems (ATS). This includes, but is not limited to, platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Rigzone, Greenhouse, Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, SuccessFactors, BambooHR, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Jobvite, and any other current or future job application portals. The client must delete all digital copies in their possession and ensure the materials are no longer attached to any profiles, submissions, or active applications. Continued use of refunded materials constitutes a violation of these Terms and Conditions.

 

Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment.

The 90-day guarantee becomes void if:

  • The resume or cover letter is edited or altered after delivery

  • The client requests changes during revisions that override professional recommendations and materially reduce effectiveness

  • The client applies to fewer than 25 relevant jobs within the 90-day period

  • The client uses a different resume version than the one delivered

  • The client applies to jobs for which they are not reasonably qualified

  • The resume is not submitted in Word format for ATS applications

  • The client does not provide proof of applications when requesting a refund

  • The refund request is made more than 90 days after delivery

If a client chooses to proceed with edits against professional advice, they assume responsibility for the resume’s performance.

 

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

15. Non-Transferability

The 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee and all related services are non-transferable. This means the guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be sold, assigned, or transferred to another individual or entity.
